400sqm was a collaboration between translocalia’s creative network and the neighbours of two cities: Barcelona and Naples. The project spins from the internationally acclaimed urban project by the Barcelona City Council ‘superblocks’: an initiative that is creating urban cells in which transport roads are being hierarchized to the perimeter of a 400sqm space to give priority to pedestrians —as opposed to the old urbanism model that favours motorized private transports.
